40mm Anti-Aircraft Shell LAMPS Here are two lamps made of 40mm anti-aircraft shell casings. They were constructed aboard USS BARRY (DD-248), apparently in quantity, because I've already met other sons who have lamps just like these. The bases and 'projectiles' seem to be made of walnut. It is a beautiful, dark, hard wood. These were passed on to me by my father.
